ENDING CHILDHOOD CANCER MONTH WITH A SURVIVOR WHO CAN JUGGLE LIKE CRAZY!

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you know that what I love most about my work through the years is connecting with families affected by childhood cancer. I recently heard from Todd, dad to Ashlyn pictured in the photo above. He thanked me for my work and told me about Ashlyn’s strength, courage, and fight in overcoming cancer. He told me that she had recently celebrated three years of being cancer free! He also shared that she’s an avid soccer player and that her dedication to the sport has been a driving force in her recovery, which I loved hearing. I sent Ashlyn a Juggling for Jude soccer ball, and she sent back this great photo and a video of her super impressive soccer-juggling skills! You can watch her on my Instagram post with this same photo.

I hope to juggle in person with Ashlyn at some point, but meanwhile, I love that she and I are now in touch, and my childhood cancer community continues to grow. Meeting families like Ashlyn’s makes this work all the more meaningful!
