BUSTER POSEY: ROLE MODEL OF PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES MAKING AN IMPACT BEYOND SPORTS

San Francisco Giants Dugout, 2017

Buster Posey retired from professional baseball a couple of weeks ago. Back in 2017, I was lucky enough to interview him as a Kid Reporter for Sports Ilustrated Kids Magazine. My article was about his and his wife, Kristen’s, family foundation supporting pediatric cancer research. I remember how clear it was that he was personally invested in this cause and how dedicated he was to helping sick kids.

In his retirement, Posey leaves behind a legacy of not only being an award-winning, likely Hall-of-Fame-worthy baseball player, but also of being an athlete making use of his platform to give back in a big way. I’m a fan!

On behalf of kids with cancer everywhere, thank you, Mr. Posey!

If you’d like to DONATE to help St. Jude in the global fight against childhood cancer, you can do so on my website, and the fund go directly to the hospital.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
